HOW DOES ONLINE THERAPY WORK?

Online therapy offers a convenient and accessible way to receive mental health support from the comfort of your own space. Utilizing HIPAA-compliant video conferencing technology, sessions are conducted in real-time, allowing for meaningful, face-to-face interaction with your therapist. This virtual format eliminates the need for travel, making it easier to fit therapy into your busy schedule. Just like in-person sessions, online therapy provides a confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns, and work collaboratively on your path to well-being.  To optimize your virtual therapy experience, ensuring a quiet, private setting and a stable internet connection can make a significant difference. Using headphones can also enhance privacy and focus during sessions.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

Consultations - Free

A consultation in therapy is a brief, 5- to 15-minute conversation designed to help you get a feel for what working with a therapist might be like. Conducted either over the phone or via secure video conferencing, this no-cost introductory session allows you to discuss your primary concerns and goals for therapy. It's an opportunity to ask questions about the therapist's approach and specialties, ensuring that their expertise aligns with your needs. While too short for in-depth therapeutic work, the consultation aims to establish a preliminary sense of fit and comfort, helping you decide if this is the right therapeutic relationship for you.

Initial Assessment / Intake (~45-60 mins) - $155.00

An intake session is the initial, more comprehensive appointment that sets the foundation for your therapeutic journey. Typically lasting about an hour, this meeting provides an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns, history, and goals in greater depth than a consultation. The therapist will ask a range of questions to gain a nuanced understanding of your needs and will often introduce their therapeutic approach and the types of treatment modalities that may be used. The intake process aims to establish a mutual understanding of what you hope to achieve in therapy, ensuring that subsequent sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs.

Individual Psychotherapy (~45-53 mins) - $155.00

In ongoing individual psychotherapy, you can expect regular sessions where you'll dive deeper into exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe and confidential space. These sessions are tailored to your individual needs and therapeutic goals, whether that's improving mental well-being, managing stress, or enhancing relationships. Your therapist will employ evidence-based approaches and techniques that have been agreed upon during the intake process. Progress is a collaborative effort, regularly reviewed to adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring that therapy remains a dynamic and evolving pathway to achieving your goals.

Couple's Therapy (~60 mins) - $200.00

In couple's therapy, both partners come together in a confidential setting to explore relationship dynamics, communication styles, and emotional needs. Sessions are facilitated by a trained therapist who provides a neutral, non-judgmental space to address issues ranging from conflict resolution to emotional intimacy. Utilizing evidence-based approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy or the Gottman Method, the therapist guides the couple in identifying patterns, fostering understanding, and developing practical skills for a healthier relationship. Over time, the aim is to achieve greater emotional closeness, improved communication, and a more satisfying partnership for both individuals.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

During your initial steps with us, you'll receive links to our intake and billing forms that must be completed and signed prior to your first session. These forms not only help you understand what to expect in therapy but also clarify our practice policies, as detailed in the consent forms. It's crucial to review and sign these forms; otherwise, the scheduled session will be cancelled and will need to be rescheduled once the forms are properly signed and submitted. After your forms are in order, you'll receive a link for your upcoming session at least 24-48 hours in advance. During your first meeting with your therapist, you'll start by building rapport and discussing the issues you'd like to work on. Your therapist will introduce their specific approach to care, and you'll begin to collaboratively shape the goals and direction of your therapy. The first session serves as a foundational step to create a safe and confidential space for your therapeutic journey.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Yes! Calm Collective Therapy is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Evernorth, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, and United Healthcare.

WHAT'S MY COPAY/ COINSURANCE?

We accept insurance, and as part of your coverage, you may be responsible for a copay or coinsurance. A copay is a fixed amount you pay at the time of each service, such as a therapy session. Coinsurance, on the other hand, is a percentage of the cost of the service that you are responsible for, with your insurance covering the remaining balance. These costs can vary significantly depending on your specific insurance plan. To find out what your financial responsibility will be, it's important to consult with your insurance provider directly. You can usually find this information by logging into your insurance account online or by calling the customer service number listed on your insurance card. Ask specifically about your mental health benefits, as well as any copays or coinsurance amounts for outpatient psychotherapy. This will give you a clearer picture of what to expect financially, allowing for a more focused and less stressful therapeutic experience.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Our cancellation policy requires clients to cancel or reschedule their appointments with at least 24 hours' notice, tracked down to the minute for fairness. This policy is in place to respect the time of both our clients and therapists, ensuring that appointment slots can be filled by those in need when cancellations occur. Failure to provide the required notice will result in a cancellation fee of $155.00. It's important to note that insurance will not cover this fee; it will be the client's sole financial responsibility.

WHAT IS A GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE?

A Good Faith Estimate is a document that provides an approximate cost of the healthcare services you will receive, designed to give you a clearer understanding of your financial responsibilities before undergoing treatment. This estimate is not a guarantee but an educated prediction based on the information available at the time. It allows you to make informed decisions about your care and to plan accordingly. Please note that actual costs may vary due to unforeseen circumstances or changes in your treatment plan.
