About Me

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Licensed States: New York

What should clients know about working with you?

I have always been passionate about the field of psychology, and more specifically understanding why and how people come to be the way that they are. In my opinion, no problem is too big or too small to warrant counseling. We have all been affected by our life circumstances and experiences, regardless of how different they may be to others. I aim to ensure that my clients feel safe and supported in sessions together, rather than embarrassed or shameful. I take a very empathetic approach, however, am also quite straightforward which I believe fosters a trusting and honest relationship with one another.

What is your approach to therapy?
I am a firm believer in exploring one's past and present experiences, traumas and familial relationships. Each of these things affect us in ways that may not always be obvious, but may contribute to and shed light on the challenges we face today. Although my approach may be psychodynamic in nature, this is just the foundation of our work together. Sessions will be tailored to your own individual needs and wants, in which we may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, solution focused work and/or mindfulness techniques.

How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?

Sincerity, integrity and acceptance are three of my core values, which I believe are major components of the therapeutic relationship. Without the ability to be truthful and direct with one another, we may lose the capacity to identify and explore the necessary issues at hand. I also very much value looking at my client’s current lifestyle and concerns from a holistic perspective, and incorporating how their physical health may be negatively impacting their mental health and healing journey.
