About Me

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Licensed States: New York, Florida

What was your path to becoming a therapist?

I received a B.S. in Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2013 and an M.S.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College in 2017. I noticed that mental health was often something that my friends and family either struggled to talk about or simply did not talk about. I wanted to normalize the process of asking for and receiving help, because it is something that everyone can benefit from.

What should I know about working with you?
I believe in providing a safe, supportive environment where you can share openly without fear of judgment. It takes a lot of strength to open up and ask for help, and I am here to listen and go at your own pace. Sometimes problem-solving is helpful, and sometimes saying things out loud and processing them together can be just as helpful. I operate from a holistic approach, incorporating elements of cognitive therapy and interpersonal therapy to explore how your thoughts affect your reactions and patterns. You know yourself better than anyone, and I am grateful for the opportunity to develop a partnership where we can explore ways to help you feel more like yourself.

How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I believe in individuality and empowerment. Your concerns, regardless of how big or small they may seem, are real and are important. I believe that connection and support are powerful, no matter how independent you are. Experiencing change or life transitions can be stressful and receiving support is a sign of strength.
