About Me

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Licensed States: New York, Florida

What should clients know about working with you?

One of the main unspoken rules of therapy is the 80-20 rule; 80% listening and 20% talking. This usually means that the therapist is doing most of the listening. As a therapist who has received my fair share of therapy, having someone just sit there and listen can be very weird! My goal is to allow my clients to feel heard while actively engaging with them, all the while building and adding tools to overcome their challenges. With an integrated approach, we can collaborate to work through them.

What is your approach to therapy?
Unhelpful thinking patterns greatly impact feelings about what we experience. I can help identify these patterns, while offering practical coping skills and a personable approach. I often implement techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Person Center therapies during sessions. I enjoy providing support to my clients to encourage their growth and manage challenges they face. I have been told that I approach clients with compassion, understanding and dedication to walk with them to reach solutions.

How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?

My core values are honesty, taking responsibility for one’s errors, and that people are all created with purpose. These values are reflected in my approach to therapy in that I seek to always demonstrate trustworthiness, highlight the importance of owning one’s own behavior in achieving positive change and treating all clients with respect and dignity.
